there was a thread before on cleaning your durag with ammonia thats works really great. but how do you clean your brush out so its not greasy. one one side of my brush at the bottom of the bristles i have a clump of black grease stuck to each group of bristles. and in the lines in the brush theres littles hair from brushing.
how do you go about getting them out, and whats an effective way to do so?
good question fam.. something real original and that can provoke some constructive responses... what i do is use hot water .. but the thing is if you have the wrong kinda brush.. (holly wood beauty.. i kno cuz i had one).. i you run it through hot water too much.. the wood starts wear with it.. (no homo)

yup thats what i do i use real tough soap or dishwasher soap to lift the grease.then comb it out to get loose hairs out.this gives it that same status when u bought it
I try to keep my brush clean every 3 or 4 days by just running hot water on it. If you do it this way your the grease won't have time to build up in your brush.

I put mine in a bowl of water, mircowave it for about 6 minutes. Boil it if you want, the reason why I don't is because I don't know how to. [IMG]smileys/smiley23.gif" align="middle" />
Damn 6 minutes yo brush would be dum hot.
That's why you put it straight on the bristles.

I doubt this is the easiest/ most effective way but i just run it under hot water (or let it sit in it for a while so it'll loosen the grease) then i scrape it out with a comb
