I totally agree with claude, worth while getting it done by a professional, with a good reputation.

OK first of all don't color your hair black if your hair is not black! It's a PitA to get your hair lighter when you want to go lighter. Also throw down that home highlighting kit as it will not lighten the hair enuff and you will end up with orange highlights.Cry

Get this done in a professional salon or at a beauty school for a very reasonable price....probably $30 - $50 at a beauty school. Attempting this yourself and if you mess it will will result in corrective color work by a trained professional and then you are looking at big bucks $150 and up to get it fixed properly.

I'm not going to get into details because it's too involved...but I'm a licensed Hairstylist with many years of experience....don't try this yourself. Those home highlighting kits are garbage...I've seen nothing but disasterous results from people using those. Spend the extra few bucks and goto a beauty school and have it done for only a few more bucks properly.
