I love fake lashes. I need a better glue though. The hard stuff lasts long but tugs the naturals when you clean your eyes, ouch . Does anyone know of a more flexible long lasting glue? I've heard of people using weave glue but I don't think you're supposed to get that stuff near your eyes.

My guy is one of those sweet men who, in 16 years of being my partner, has loved me equally with all kinds of hair, clothes, and even at a wide range of weights. I've got to tell you though that he can't get enough of these eyelashes! My hair extensions have gotten pretty popular too, especially since I switched to soft, pretty Russian hair and sew-ins rather than adhesives so there is no nasty stickiness on my head. But those eyelashes.... <laughing>

Thanks, MrsWozzy! I'm working fast and furious on the Eyelash Extension tutorial. When I started writing it, I realized that I'd discovered a LOT of helpful pointers to get them right and keep them looking nice. You've done them so you know how tricky it can be to get the fakes to lie in the right direction and stay there for a week or so. Sometimes they get twisty after a day or two. Then they start looking kind of scary. Anyway, I'm trying to get all the details about techniques, products, tools, and some pictures, to be able to have a good comprehensive tutorial.
When I started playing with these in January I had NO idea how much interest was going to be generated by my experiments. I'm getting PMs and email all the time from all the hair sites from women begging for the details. I am sooo excited to share what I've learned so we can ALL have fabulous lashes AND hair! The tutorial should be up in a week or so. I'll give y'all a heads-up when I get it up or you can check in on the link below to watch for it to be posted.
Kristie, I love not having to wear masacara! I use the flares only, but I think putting some individuals in there would be perfect! Never thought of it. I can usually do my uppers (full set) in about 15 minutes. I'm gonna check out the individuals though, your soooo smart!!
Amm - i'm going to admit this...not proud...but...if it helps another, it's worth my feeling like a total tool....LOL I tried it, and I should have read your post earlier - duh - never even occurred to me that i end up touching the curler to my skin in the process and hey - maybe it would be too hot! yeah...you're getting the mental image right? go ahead and chuckle, you all know you want to! So, my first attempt was traumatic, but i'm going to get right back on the horse & try it again....lol
I can't wait for the tutorial on the lashes! I've just learned how to put on full fakes but i'm so self-conscious that i'll be having a great time & someone's too afraid to tell me that it's half hanging-off... that would be embarassing...
rockin' hair one head at a time!

I use flares and individuals. I've found that each works better at different parts of the eyelash arch. I've been compulsively messing around with different products and lengths, placement, and tools. I've got it down to being able to do a full set (top only) in about 35 minutes, and a fill once every 3 - 4 days to keep them looking pretty takes about 10 minutes. People who know me tell me they look completely natural. And after constant wear for almost 3 months, the only 'hit' my own lashes have taken is that the really long ones tend to come off more quickly. They're still just as thick as they were before I started. It is so much better than wearing mascara, isn't it?
Do you do the individuals? I use these and I CANNOT leave the house without them now!! Can't wait to see your method, hopefully it's easier than mine! LOL
Hi Amm! I get my supplies from www.MadameMadeline.com. They have everything you need and great prices, too!
I started wearing these puppies in January and now I won't be seen without them! They have revolutionized my makeup look. Now I can get away with just a little concealer and lipstick, even to go out in the evening. And to wake up looking fabulous is so cool!
I've figured out a LOT about the tricks and tools that make these eyelashes work really well. I'm taking the time to put everything, including a list of products I've found that work best, and pictures and techniques, in a detailed tutorial. Look for it in a few weeks! <winking my beautiful eyelashes at ya!>
