yeah look for alcohol free  but other then that is fine for your hair lots for curly hair have been using  gel since they can remember and their hair is fine

it can dont use a protein gel cause too much protein in hair can cause breakage and make sure it doesnt have achohol in it

Sorry if this has been asked before.

I just began using hair gel (after a haircut of course) and must ask,

Does gel really damage your hair? (particularly applying it when your hair is wet). If so, does this depend on your hair type, the type of gel, how it's applied, etc? (in which way)

As far as this being in the teenage hair section, I'm a teenager...meaning my hairtype might be different.
