Like the look, but if you look at later images, you will see that the hair is artfully pinned up, not cut.  With that said, she can totally wear short hair, if she chooses to, IMHO.

The photo you posted appears to have been taken during a 9/7/07 event. Here's another one from Getty:
 
 
This one says it was taken 9/8/07 and she still has longer hair.

I didn't realize what a big forhead she has not a good look for her...i never really thought she was pretty but she is more attractive as a blond...

Odd.  I've never really liked the obviously oh-so-carefully highlighted  blonde look she's had recently.  The brunette hair itself looks great.  But did you notice what it does to her face?  She has very strong features, much more so than you realize at first, and the brunette hair really emphasizes them IMO.  I have to agree that eveyone is still going to think of her as a blonde.

I don't think anyone picked up on this, but Molly Sims (TV Show Las Vegas and ex of MTV) has gone considerably darker with her hair recently.
 
Looks good, but I will always consider her a blonde...
