hmm, usually when people say their hair looks "grey", they're hair has some ashy tones in it somewhere. Do you remember what tones/colors your stylist used for your hair?
Or maybe one of the lighter highlights is mixing with the darker and making it look grey, especially if the difference between the 2 colors is too great. Think of it this way, if someone with jet black hair put in some wide, white blonde streaks, you'd see the difference between the 2 colors. But if the white streaks are very thin, you don't really see the difference, your eye sees the blend of the black and white, which = grey.
But these are just theories. Maybe post a photo so we can get a better idea of what's going on.

I have naturally brown/auburn hair.. and awhile ago I got a few hightlights in the front which looked really nice.. when I went to get my whole hair highlighted with lowlights it turned really bad. now I have four different blondes with one looking practically grey and im only 16.. It looks pretty bad. people say I should wait before I dye it since I just got it done but I need to do something right away!!....HELP!!
