Update on my perm nightmare!

Cool! I'm so glad to hear you and your hair is okay.

My girlfriend fried her hair in September and it was BAD!!!  she cut off as much as she could  and then used the protac and you can't even tell her hair was damaged!!  When she takes it out to redue it she just just cuts  a little more off each time and soon it will all be healthy hair!!!   she plans on having extensions for a while (like forever  ) so cutting it really doesn't affect her look!!!  No one will ever know what happend to your hair but you and us

I remember you mentioning your hair guy was in Orlando.  I am in Lakeland and am desperately looking for someone that specializes in coloring very light blonde hair (almost bleached!).  Your hair in the pics looks exactly like my color and I also tried the 613 which was too yellow.  There is a guy near my beach house in Sarasota, but from what I understand he has a major attitude thing goin' on.  Life's too short to deal with that.  I had extensions done a long time ago by a guy in Orlando named Scotty.  Maybe the same guy?

I am growing out after a crazy battle to get back to my natural color (ash blonde) from 10 years of dyeing it Jet Black.

I had to use a color remover, then bleach my hair 8 times. No joke- 8 bleaches with 40 volume developer. Needless to say, I lost about 10 inches of hair.

It has been about 7 months and I have finally cut off all the dead stuff and I have a cute but short cut that I am growing with the help of extensions.

My advice is- baby your hair- wash it as little as possible- 2 times a week if you are able to go that long. When you do wash your hair, use a low PH shampoo and a low PH conditioner. BES makes a hair masque called Midopla- use that as a normal conditioner each time after you wash.

Take fish and flax oil supplements (hit up the local health food store) also some people swear by Biotin and Sulfur supplements as well.

My new hair is so strong and glossy- I only touch up the root with professional color and although it took the better part of a year, and regular trims- I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now :)

lol..im sure you are all wondering if I shaved my head....WELL...i didnt..atleast not yet...its jsut to hard to part with your hair!!!! I am VERY determined for it to be okay...well some what...But anyways...I have tried TONS of different things... I will post later a timeline of what I did..But on Sat afternoon, I decided...Im not going to touch my hair for the next couple of days..so it FINALLY dried on sunday afternoon. Also, I cut like 5 inches off on Friday(by myself because the hair guy was a little to scared to I think, but he said it wouldnt cut because it was soo spongey/rubbery). Well i noticed a HUGE change in my hair after i cut it, it wasnt so bad...lol...Well I left it till last night and then last night I used this stuff the hair guy gave me, and low and behold, I think my hair is a million times better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)  I know im not supposed to, BUT i cant go to bed with a wet head because it gets me sick..so I started to blow dry my hair ( on the cool low setting) and spent a while, but holy crap it all dried!!!!! and it look halfway normal now!! The only thing that is bad is that the back of my head you can see how thin it is (illl post a pic later) But im hoping/praying to the hair gods I can just put extensions in..and it will make the back look good!  I bought Bohyme 14inch Handtied in #613..but its WAY to yellow!! ahh so i am gonna have to figure out how to dye it lighter! I talked to my hair guy and he said he will do the protac for me and stuff, just to bring everything ( i got lucky-this guy does my bfs hair..for only like $20 or something and he can charge him $90 if he wanted to cuz he has cut celebs hair..but he didnt even charge me for deep conditioning my hair twice($40 each time) and giving me 2 packets of the deep conditioner stuff to use at home!) so hopefully he prob wont charge me much to do my extensions(which i dont think he will!) Ok..sorry this is so long, just thought I'd share that my hair is HOPEFULLY coming back!!!!!!!!!!!! And to give anyone who ever goes through this hope and encouragement that to be patience and you might be able to save your hair! :-)
