its normal..bleach just eats out the pigment in ur hair as well as the protein..honestly go eat some eggs meat protein beans...and use cholesterol...at night oil your ends with jojoba oil the pure stuff u can get it at gnc....this will help
Try a protein reconstructor for breakage (nexxus emergencee works wonders, but there are numerous brands). It will help with the breakage but will make the hair seem dry, don't panic, its supposed to do this. Just use a deep moisturizor after. This site is helpful for diagnosing your individual problem http://pasta.cantbedone.org/pages/-K8FFv.htm,
I suggest using something with heat protector in it if you are going to do a lot of ironing, I use thermasilk for this its cheap (I use a lot of expensive stuff and really makes very little difference for this) and works awesome. I've never had personal experience with your hair products and don't know their ingredients so I can't be very helpful. I suggest looking on the site www.makeupalley.com they give reviews of all beauty products, so you can look for the one that best suits you, and see what real people say about it. Or try Paula Begoun http://www.cosmeticscop.com/ she tells if you if the basic ingredients in your products do anything, or they're just high priced gimmicks.
You are not supposed to flat iron, blow dry, bleach, vegeterian/low iron, do full dye job whatever. But I do all that stuff all the time :) Just counteract with a reconstructor (strength), conditioners (moisture), glosses/clear color (shine). My motto: what is healthy hair, hair is dead, I can do anything I want to, to it, including making it look "Healthy"
If your nervous about doing this stuff on your own. Hair salons often have reconstructor or glossing treatments that you can ask for.

I would NOT flat-iron bleached hair!!! Breakage is not exactly "normal." I've been having my hair heavily highlighted for many many years now and it's pretty healthy. I too have fine hair which tends to be the most fragile. You need to baby your hair a bit. I try to air dry mine as much as possible, and I use the curling iron every other day. Deep condition weekly. Use leave-ins every time you wash. The condition should appear better if you take care of it. You can't repair damaged hair however -- you can only mask it and prevent further damage.

Well, unfortunately, you are bleaching and using a flat iron~two things that together equal breakage. When my hair was bleached,I had to take extra care of it.Good conditoning, good hair serum or leave-in conditioner (or otherwise frizz) and limited my use of hot appliances. You could try getting an IONIC blowdryer and only blowdrying hair straight. It may be less damaging than a flat iron.

I just had my hair hilighted yesterday (natural color dark brown,
natural texture very curly/frizzy, very fine and dry enough that if not
washed for 4 days, no one would know except me. I normally
blow-dry my hair and then flat iron it, which gives the illusion that
my hair is very straight and healthy.) The highlights came out
very light, almost platinum and they look beautiful! My question
is, when I run my fingers through my hair occasionally there will be
small pieces (and in some cases full strands) of hair. Is this
normal after dying? I'm assuming to get this color, the
hairdresser must have mixed in some bleach. At any rate, she used
a leave in detangler (not sure of the name of it, I think it's by Rusk)
and then another leave in conditioner. When she dried my hair, it
was SO SOFT and SILKY.
I didn't wash it today, I just used the Hyashi 911 conditioner in the
shower then a spray on (leave in) conditioner by Rusk, and then the
Flat Out serum for the flat iron. My hair looks and feels really
good but I haven't actually washed it yet. I'm happy with the
color and I'd like it to stay this way!
My questions are:
1. Is SOME breakage always normal after coloring? Should I not panic so quickly?
2. What can I do to prevent breakage?
3. Will the condition of my hair get better or worse in the next few days/weeks if treated correctly?
Thank you so much!!!!!
