I think the augenmerk handles heat better. I can flat iron it at 300 with my solia. The PH at 300 will get crunchy quick, 200 will straigten it but you have to watch for line marks.. More than just political is for me ease, plus platinum real is hard to find. The synth doesn't really absorb water so leave your hair up in a towel for 5 minutes and it dries in half the time of human hair easily.
I think it's lighter (weight wise) than the jetset I bought.
Oh on the augen, I straight iron it and while it's warm brush it & where it cools tends to be wear it stays.
Then of course if you want cheap synth there is Wawa but it feels itchy on your skin. Of course the Thermo Elite is really soft but only comes 18 inches.

I'm new to synth, but I just got a nice big bundle of the aguenmerk yesterday and its BEAUTIFUL. the reason I switched to synth was because a wider variety of colors is available for it in brands like aguenmerk and plastikhaar. (the tricky part of that is if you guess wrong, you can't dye it as effiently as missmatched hh extensions). If you have a picture of the 22/24 color I can compare it to my aguenmerk color ring. (I'm not blonde so its like a whole diff language when you get to blonde colors for me, lol). But they do have REALLY pretty blonde colors!
there are a lot of methods for doing synth installs - fusion dosent' work only because it would melt the synth into your own hair, but i could be wrong about that. shrinkies aren't a problem at all from what I understand.
with curling, some brands can and some cant. and it varies the amount of heat each brand likes as well. I want to test the augen for curling, but well my hair is curly so I dont' have an iron. It does however like flat iron heat, so I don't think curling would be a major problem from exposure to heat. peoples experiences seem to vary quite a bit with most synthetics (with the exception of thermofibers which are designed to take heat) such as augen and PH, in terms of how they tolerate heat.
Just went to the augenmerk website and now am intrigued. I've only ever used human hair so am really ignorant re: synth - about the only thing I know is that it can't be curled due to the heat - is that true with all brands?
Colors- is the cotton blonde similar to a 22/24?
installation - my method of choice is fusion and/or shrinkies, but I've tried just about everything else at one point or another. what's the best way to install synth? I assume due to the heat I can't use fusion...?
what's the plus for synth over human? i'm just talking about methods/wear issues, as for the political parts of that question, to each his own.
augenmerk is a REALLY cool website, neat shirts, hair clips, etc too!
