I didn't take photos when I did this but it was pretty easy to accomplish. Using the sew in method is best but if you use hand-tied or skin wefts with a bonding method like tapes or glue, it works. I used hand-tied with tape.
Say you're putting in a weft in the back at the top of the crown. Instead of putting the weft in and letting it drop to the back, face the application forward with the hair coming toward your face. Once the track is secure, simply flip it back the opposite direction.
For me, I had a slight hump (VERY slight) which was perfect because it gave my fine hair some lift.
