Finally got the flat iron down - somewhat and finding that I can wash my hair every fourth day and be just fine.  I wanted to add a fourth row to blend the bottom line of my own hair better and I just had it installed and it is gorgeous.  This gal custom blends to your hair color and head shape and so far I am thrilled!  Another gal was leaving when I arrived today and her hair was lovely and she said our gal is the best and has had her hair done by our artist for a year and is thrilled.  So, nice to know that.  For me, I can't imagine glued in extensions, I think I would go nuts.  These aren't uncomfortable at all.  If you are in the Seattle area, this gal is the one to go to.  All custom color, texture matched Russian hand made wefts.  I also think that I like the purple bottle of Pureology shampoo and conditioner the best for my extensions and my own hair.  Good luck and hope this helps - this forum has been so helpful to me!!

Amm - it really makes getting ready much easier.  Still trying to get used to using a flat iron, I have three rows and am going to add a fourth to help blend the back in a little better.  My own hair hits at the shoulder and I feel like I can see that line and hope the fourth will hide it better.  I really don't want to razor or chop my own hair drastically to blend it as I am hoping to let it grow out with the extensions.  what do think?

You went Russian for your first ever extensions? Get out! You are one lucky lady! I didn't even know it existed when I first started in the extension world. Well good for you! I have five wefts of Russian that are on standby for my next install so I know fully well the happiness in getting a texture that's so perfect.

Enjoy your hair. You're right...it really can make such a difference!

Use a low PH shampoo and conditioner and braid your hair when you sleep. Also wash as little as possible and use heat sparingly. It sounds like you have an awesome stylist who really knows her stuff!

Enjoy!!!!!

Sounds good. I have heard from others that because the Russian hair is such a natural match, you tend to feel you can go longer in between shampoos.

I haven't had to wash my hair yet if you can believe that!  My extensionsist wanted my to buy the Chi ceramic 1 inch flat iron and the Chi Ionic Silk Tonic that you smooth over your hair before you flat iron it.  I will use Bumble & Bumble Prep spray detaingler and the rest of my Loreal Expert Color Shampoo and Conditioner.  She felt that was fine to use until it was gone.   The only think I have read is that you should use a sulfate free shampoo.  My own hair is highlighted and she did put some highlights in to match mine.  I will keep you posted.  I hope its no too hard to style.  I plan to just dry and flat iron.

Thats great Tessa! They sound very nice and glad you are happy. Have you started using any specific care products on them and how is that going?

Krisma, I woke uo this morning- day two, no washing or messing with my hair and it looked wonderful!!  I love these, they don't hurt, feel heavy or un-natural at all!!  In fact I am most likely going to have a fourth track sewn in just to give that much more thinkness and to blend better and hide my shoulder length level of my oen hair.  I am trying to stretch out washing my hair to every 3-4 day to give my hair a rest and not stress both my own hair as well as the extensions.  The Russian hair is very soft and easy to comb and I haven't had issues with tangles as of yet.  Love them!!

I am sooo jealous! Yes post photo(s) asap. I have made the decision to go with the Russian hair myself and a sew in. Both new to me but after reading all the testimonials of people that have gone with the Ukranian hair and done the sew ins, I just need to get on the ball and "get her done".

sounds great! if you need help figuring out how to post pics we can help. People have had some good luck finding CHI products a little less expensive on ebay and places like that. folica.com has everything under the sun and this site has quite a bit of products as well.

I just got my custom color matched hand tied Russian 17 inch wefts installed today and I am very happy at this point!!  I love them and can't believe what a difference it makes!!  They were installed snug, (braided) but not uncomfortably so, three tracks and I love them!!  The length is just below my bra strap line and the blended color is beautiful and looks totally natural - like my hair!!  The cut is side swooped bangs and razored to frame my face.  Thanks to all of you who answered my questions and helped me with my concerns - I really appreciate all your support.  I am going to do my best to really maintain and take the best care of these.  My extensionist suggested the Chi ceramic flat iron and the Ionic Silk Chi Hair infusion to help maintain the soft silky look.  Any thoughts on a goood web site to purchase from?  Thanks again and I will try to post pics.  I sure hope I can continue to keep these in for the long haul becuase it really makes a wonderful difference in one's confidence!!  THANKS
