Its not quite the same as strand by strand, it moves differently and is thicker - meaning you need less rows of wefts to get the same fullness that you would with the same number of rows from stand by strand. I have medium thickness hair and don't need more than 4 oz of wefts (this is with tapes, but sew-ins soon). You can put mutliple wefts on a single track as well, but more than 2 or so is not reccemended. IMO you can get a longer length with wefts than with individuals have it look natural.

I see. So it seems like its basically the same with strand by strand extensions? I know in the past when I have gotten fusion or some other bond extension, they have always looked better and more blended the longer my natural hair was. Sometimes you can get that divet almost mullet look if the natural hair is too short and you get too much length on the extension hair. Its much harder to blend believably. Right now my hair is kind of scragly but a speck below shoulders. I might want to consider going shorter on the wefts I guess. Thanks that was helpful.

It should blend nicely. I think it depends on the length of your hair that will determine how well it blends.

Hi. Im sure some of you that have sew ins can answer this question. I am planning on getting this method done but had a question about wefts and length and how that works exactly.

Okay so say you get 3 wefts sewn in and the wefts are all 20'' inches of hair. But when they make the tracks, they are all three at different levels on your head so now the length of hair going down your back is going to be at 3 different lengths correct? I realize that is the same with any extension method because there are layers of bonds but since wefts are thicker and its a cutain of hair, how does that look exactly pre cut? Is it very obvious that you can see three levels of hair? How does that work? Thanks.
