I wore the satin strands for a while, about three installs total, and if youre just using them for the weekend, they will be great. for the first day especially, and then maybe two of the following days, they are super shiny and soft. hoooowever : ) dont ever buy them for a "real" install. they mat up to the point where you cannot even brush it out in thirty minutes ... become dull and feel absolutely awful, like the bristles on a broom ... and just look completely horrible.
I have purchased the satin strands wefts to make clip ins. They are labeled as 18". It's 'single drawn' so there are different lengths at the bottom. I have since trimmed mine shorter to blend better. Some of the strands did fall below 18", but not over 19" from what I remember. One suggestion is compare which package (if there's hopefully more than one in the color you want) has the longest strands....that's what I did
Their colors don't come in numbers, just names. I have the 'Sedona' which I would compare to a #8, a reddish brown (by some charts). For anyone that wants to know about the satin strand wefts at Sally's, they are '100% human hair' but not remy. They haven't tangled/matted on me yet, tho I'm only wearing them a couple times a week since february. They air dry wavy, not straight. I have difficulties with it holding a curl for very long with an iron. With a Sally's card, they're $69, and I think there was $5 off as well for their June sales, but not sure. Good for a temp fix like clip ins, tho I think one could find some Remy for a little bit more off ebay, but sounds like you're crunched for time looking for next weekend?
The Satin Strands now come in I-tip strands too, and those are labled 'Remy'. 100pk/$99, but I haven't used those, so I can't comment on the quality.
Hope this helps.
