Hey Jenn, don't know if you're still looking to dye Elite Thermo, but I just tried it yesterday with Dark Brown powder Rit, and it worked, bold color.

I was just dyeing a 2-3" wide test strip, but here's my recipe, I'm sure you could modify and use it with one of their bold bright colors.... test it first!

2 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon powder dye

After 5 minutes, I yanked it out, it was sooo dark & bold, not pastel shade at all! (I was looking for a lighter shade, but used too much dye.... oops. So I didn't bother to cook it for 30 minutes like Poose did, cuz I knew I didn't want the dark color anyway..... if I was looking for a bold color like you are, it's probably best to cook for 30 minutes) However, the hair was tangled after me stirring it in only 2 cups water, so maybe Poose can chime in here on what I did wrong (probably not enough liquid, or maybe I just shouldn't have stirred it).

When I get another chance, I'll cut some more test strips of the 613, and try dyeing them with tan. If that doesn't work to get a darker blonde color, I'll try to use the 613 Elite Thermo for bold funky color highlights

I don't know if they're any good but if you search under hair extensions on ebay, they have every color imaginable and reasonably priced too. You can email some of the people who've bought the hair from some of the sellers and see if they'll tell you how it held up.

synthetic hair cannot be dyed through any conventional means. - Amm can correct me here if the elite thermo takes it.

I know of only two sure fire ways to do it - though I don't believe either than accoplish truely BRIGHT looks, but here are links.
http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=57484 - tutorial for dying with inks (can also be sharpies)
http://www.pettingzoowigs.com/wigsupplies_dye.html - katie bair's wig dye which is expensive

if you like PH colors try out augenmerk (www.shop.augenmerk.ch) similar fun colors and NO tangles. it is NOT a thermo, however it can be treated with heat. I've used a flat iron up to 300*f with no problem, it likes it quite a bit.  and actually the PH really has varied through her different suppliers. Shrinkies.net carries headrazor but I dont' know a thing about it.

Ok Ive seen posts on here RAVING about the new Elite Thermofiber hair... and I've used WaWa and liked it ok. However, I KNOW WaWa only comes in basic colors for the most part, and from what I can see on the website, so does the Elite. I'm planning on putting in a headful of black with bright streaks extensions at some point soon, and I'd ideally like to get some thermofiber in funky BRIGHT colors, like purple and blood red... I feel it just holds up so much better and is easier to care for than human, and I dont want to mix something like PH  with it because I know firsthand that that can cause a freakin rat's nest of tangles Dead I also remember reading on here about HeadRazor (???)  hair that came in a ton of bright colors, but I dont know where to order that from and Im not 100% sure it was a  thermofiber. Can someone please direct me to where I can get what I'm looking for, or, if its possible to dye (also remember reading something about fabric dye, but Im not sure it it would take intense enough - i heard it resulted in more of a pastel watered down shade Confused) I'd REALLY appreciate it :)
