Ask the stylist doing the install but if your hair is on the fragile side, once a month is the ideal. And if there are problems, more.

Cool. Back when i was wearing them it was an Indian hair and just didnt seem to hold up very well and not the best match with my own. I have very fine caucasian hair.

Im moving on to the Russian hair and saying goodbye to the Indian or Asian. Just doesnt work for me personally so thats not the fault of the company. Just didnt work for me.

I did really like the bond and it stayed well in my hair.

I don't know who the hair supplier was at that time, but now they exclusively use European / Italian hair from Extensions Plus, who is known to be one of the best.  Concepts has the best shrink tubes since they shrink down nicely and stay pretty well.

I wore shrink links from about 1997-2001.  They were great for me.  Now due to medication I have too much hair loss to support full time extension wearing.  I use clip ins.

I personally know all the people at Concepts, since they are located in Sacramento and I live/work in that area.  I often go into the office to get my supplies, and Mark and I have chatted quite a bit about various hair extension topics.

They have now come out with an 'extra hold' shrink link that is proving to work very well.  I put a full head on a client who has trouble keeping any attachment method in here hair, and 4 weeks out she has not lost a single strand.

I think I wore the Elegant Additions like 95 or 96? I cant remember now. They were okay as far as the attachment itself and similar but I wasnt thrilled with the hair quality at all. Just being honest and not to bad mouth anyone and you have to remember that was a few years back and things change.

Elegant Additions were the original name that Mark Barrington named his original shrink tube product.  The created the shrink tube extension back around 1991 ( I was one of his first customers).  About 5 years ago, he changed the name from Elegant Additions to Concepts, Inc. (calling his product 'shrink links)

Short 2 Long's tube are pretty much just the same as protubes.  They are not silicone lined.  Their tubes are fine, I just prefer the silicone lined ones better, since they tend to slip less.  I do however order hair from Short 2  Long all the time for my clients, and I am mostly very happy with the hair quality.

I believe you need to fax a copy of your cosmetology license to Short 2 Long before they will sell to you.

They look kind of like a type I wore years ago called Elegant Additions but Im sure they have come a long ways since then. Those were a little bigger and noticeable. These look smaller and less detectible. Good luck!

I've never tried them but it looks to me like they're microlinks? If they're not silicone lined I wouldn't use them. Metal breaks the hair. Just ask about it. I'm sure it's a good method.
