QuoteReplyTopic: Robin Meade went darker Posted: January 29 2008 at 8:34pm
It's another longhair miracle! Fresh off a haircut and then a week in Las Vegas, Robin Meade returned to her show today... incredibly with all of her long hair back on her head. In fact, it looks almost identical to the day before she got her hair cut. Praise the Lord.
I too think that she uses extensions but mainly for fullness. Though this wll not be a popular comment, I think she should cut her hair shorter....more of a blunt type cut..at least cut way down on the wispy look - it just doesn't look very good. I also think that a shorter cut would show off her awesome body more - she actually has some shape to her.
Now before people "freak" and start attacking me personally for my comment...remember it is just my opinion! Everyone should be able to have one.

As lovely as Robin's hair often looks, I believe she uses extensions. I remember her hair growing six inches over a weekend. So don't be surprised if it gets longer quick. It never really gets longer than the length she reached this time (before the cut). While I enjoy it when she wears her hair straight, what she really lost by going to this new look was fullness.
You did a good job answering my question kramer. When I saw her on t.v. a few days ago I couldn't figure out why she had her hair always behind her back. Her hair was looking so beautiful it's pretty dissapointing that she got it cut. I wonder if cnn told her it was getting too long.

I don't think it's an improvement. I remember a year or two ago, when I thought Robin's hair looked consistently fantastic. It was a sassy auburn color, had nice bangs to set off her eyes, looked full every day, and often had waves, flips, and curls to give it personality. Now it's 1) thinner-looking; 2) flatter; 3) doing that thing where the long pieces angle in toward the neck, which only TV newswomen still do; 4) darker; 5) bereft of any interesting movement, such as flippy layers, curls, waves, etc; 6) missing bangs to set off her eyes.
I'm sorry, but I don't get how a blander color and a flatter, blander style constitute an improvement. However, I admit that's my bias, so if you do think it looks better now, speak up!

Some of the folks commenting on www.reportercaps.com say Robin Meade got her hair cut. I haven't seen any clear cut evidence of this, but she often hides her hair after getting it cut and she's had it behind her back or pinned up this week.

I sometimes worry that when a newsbabe goes on vacation, she's going to come back to work with a haircut that is not an improvement. Katie Couric used to do that all the time. So this week, I loved it when Robin Meade returned frin vacation and somehow looked better than when she left. Her hair is a few shades lighter, but it's still long. Robin, you were missed!
Well maybe she wants to see what is better for her. Adding lenght might be her way in testing the water she if she likes it to be longer. Or might be test to see if they comments on what Robin is better longer or shorter.

Curly, not only are the photos proof of added length, but I watched Robin on CNN Headline News often during the period in question, when she went from long to shorter to long again. But hey, think whatever you want.

I'm not convinced those are extensions. A couple of weeks of growth, plus having it blown out straight and flat, plus a different sitting posture could account for the couple of inches difference in length.
For my view, I think Robin's hair, though always wonderful, has been on the bland side recently, and hope she spices it up by adding some volume, flipping it out, curling it, etc.
It doesn't make sense to me that a woman with long hair would add minor extensions to make her hair slightly longer. But then again, that appears to be what Kieran Chetry is doing....

Personally, I wonder if the extensions are a last fling before another cut... Probably not, but seeing them actually makes me worry for her overall length.

I guess part of me is disappointed that after all these years, Robin has to resort to hair extensions. But the other part of me -- the one who says who gives a rat's butt, her hair is long, isn't it moron? -- overwhelmingly approves.

I know you guys are probably getting bored with Robin Meade sightings, but I am absolutely loving her hair. As I type this, I'm keeping my toes crossed that I didn't jinx it. But c'mon, look at her today:
I hope those worked.
