how long between sew-in weft re-positioning appt?

Sounds beautiful. When you gonna post some pics girl! heheh. No pressure. I love that bone straight sleek look you can get with a flat iron but my word, a nice flat iron is expensive and it is indeed a lot of work when you have extensions and more hair to deal with.

If you like the way it looks tossled and air dried, then maybe just do the full flat ironing once a week tops or when you are going out or something and want a more polished look. That will probably double the hair life. Ive also heard from others wearing this type hair that it really lasts because its virgin, even with frequent shampoos but why push it.

Cool. I think thats true. I mean even though sew ins are great and all, still that hair aint comin from your head so the less you do to harm it, the better. I mean even your natural hair, same story there but it regenerates itself. Or at least keeps making more.

I know you got the Russian but I cant remmeber now what style you got meaning like was it wavy or straight to start with? I ordered the straight and its BONE straight so Im guessing it will be easy to flat iron if I want but may not need that very often. I just went with that and I love the waves but since my natural hair is pretty straight i just figured best not to have "dueling textures" going on.

With the itching, I have heard MsHoney say witch hazel dabbed on the scalp near the weft works wonders. Maybe give that a try and see how it feels. At the very least it will cool your scalp in the heat.

I used to flip my head over in the sink and do a quick shampoo and rinse of just those top layers of my bio hair and gently clip back the sides and extensions. Then just kind of tossle it and blow dry. That was with strand by strand bonds though and not a sew in. I dont know if you can still do that but someone probably can tell you. I need to know also as I am getting mine done July 7th!! Cant wait.

Tessa I know it feels weird at first not shampooing every day but what tends to happen is your scalp regulates itself as far as the amount of sebum it produces. Sebum is that yucky oil that makes your hair feel and smell dirty but its actually VERY good for the hair and you want a slight build up of it. I think what happens is when we shampoo every day and are constantly suds sing all that healthy oil away, the scalp goes okay, I’m gonna make more! Same happens with skin. So once you get in the rhythm of allowing some of the oil to be there, it gradually slows down the production. It takes a few months though to get used to it.

All my clients with integation systems keep them in for 10 to 12 weeks. That's with cornrow attachments. The down side is it takes me approx. 3 hours for take down, reweave, and attach. In some ways it's worth it, and in some ways it isn't. I use a full head integation system from New Concepts.

I have mine re-done every six weeks. Also, I wash my hair every three days. Your scalp will get adjust to it. I used to wash my hair every day and if I missed a day I would go nutz.
