Yes, I have said this before, it is really hard sometimes to interpret the tone of a remark online. Could be a little snobbish, could be just out of curiosity.
Metalgirl, you probably know better since you emailed her back and forth.
maybe she's had bad experiences with people emailing her in the past and she's just as unsure of YOUR tone (and intentions) as you are of hers
and i did watch all three seasons of BlowOut and i had to refer back to the Bravo site to remember who the heck she was, so maybe she's not as much of a Hollywood Type as she thinks she may be
lotta talkin 'bout hair n other stuff: http://www.diyextensions.net/
I was on the www.behindthechair.com message board where Kiara Bailey, the stylist who does extensions on the Blow Out tv show regularly posts. She mentioned several times that you could contact her with any hair extension related questions...since she is so knowledgeable.
Anyway, I emailed her and asked her which she prefers: Hairdreams or So Cap for fusion. I want to add a fusion method and after talking to these guys at the hairshows, I think I will go with one of them.
Anyway, she did not even address my question, she just gave me the 'sales pitch' for her method and her overpriced classes that teach you stuff that we all already know.
Like most people pushing her own products, she was very vague in answering specific questions. I emailed her back and replied that since I was no beginner in extensions, that I already do several methods, I am not interested in a 'sales pitch', just real information regarding her hair that she sells, her pricing, etc.
So again she emails me back and her email has a very condescending tone. At least it seems like she is being snotty. I may be wrong, I may be being too sensitive.
I am just sick of these 'Hollywood types' thinking they are the best thing since sliced bread. If I am going to spend money on products, I want straight answers to my questions.
But again, she didn't even address all my questions about her products. This is what she emailed me:
Nice to hear you are so educated on hair extensions. Where in nor cal are you from? I am also from there.where do you hold your classes and how much do you charge? I would love to see some pictures of your work, you seem to really be experienced with several different methods.
