QuoteReplyTopic: Can short thick hair be blended with extensions? Posted: July 31 2007 at 11:36am
I only have four rows with the clips ins. I think I could have a lot more. Plus, it's difficult for me to get the clip ins up top because my hair is a little thinner and since the clip in for the back top is long, it shows. At least if I glued or made my own clips, I could size them beter.

Ditto on what they've said plus I think that you need to go closer to your crown. How far up are you going now, ear to ear? How many rows of clip ends? If you go higher you may not need to cut your hair at all. Are you trying to achieve the style of the blonde pic you showed us? If so, you'll want the same type of installation pattern.

Will the ends look weird when I decide to take the extensions out and just wear my hair alone? I'd probabaly have a professional do it because I have 0 experience cutting/razoring hair.

You will need alot of hair and good layering to really blend well with short thick hair. Also if the ends of your own hair are blunt cut it may help to razor the ends of your own hair a little.
Where can I find french refined? I've heard good reviews about bohym so I was going to go with that.

Hope is always there......just buy some more hair and either add them to your current clip ins or make your own.....either way you may want to really layer the hair but get as many weft in there as you can stand.....be careful with clip ins.....they can really pull your hair if you get them to heavy......and if your hair is thick....get either a French refined or a Bodywave. The more body in the extension hair the better you will cover your own.

Thanks,

Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!

I have cut my hair pretty short. It falls on my collar bones but the problem is, it's now thicker. I mean it's not like SUPER thick but compared to what it was before I cut it, it's thick. The ends are all even and I have some layers. Before my ends were very thin and choppy looking.
When I do my clip ins, you can see the hair showing. It's really annoying because I love my clip ins .. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Should I buy hair to make my own clip ins or is there just no hope?
