I know what u guys mean by hooked!! My husband tells me all the time it's gonna fall out if u keep coloring it.I laugh when he says that.I have colored mine since I was 12 & I'm 31 now, so I kinda doubt if after that many years it will fall out.I want my hair really long & if I keep coloring it so much, it won't grow fast.I now take hair pills taht I hope will help. Well, my hair is only to my shoulders, so I hope taht i can hanlde just coloring it every 4 - 6 weeks.Wish me luck on that, lol!!

ya, i know how they act in sally's....not too good....honey, there is stuff that will take the color out.....i hate to say this but sally's carries the stuff....there is color zap for perm color and something else for demi and temporary color....oh, you could go in a cvs or walgreens (a good drug store) and get stuff that will remove the color....then you apply a new color...it really is that easy....i totally understand where you are coming from.....i too am trying to go back to my natural and just highlight the grays instead of looking for the PERFECT HAIR COLOR...it has been like a quest for me and ended up damaging my hair...it is in good shape now and i will only use the shades eq....chicklet, they really are the most beautiful colors...but to really appriciate them you must see the hair swatches.....listen, get that bad color out and then go with something closer to your own shade....i will be wishing you luck and thinking good thoughts your way.....you will be alright....just get that bad color out....talk to you later honey.....i know how you feel.
Ok this is what i plan to do simply cause i'm so tired of the haircolor rollor coaster and my family is thinking of having me committed .Whats worse is i may let them.lol What i need to do is just dye my hair back to its natural color and let the damn stuff grow out .Thing is that i just put on this natural insticts stuff which was supposed to be brown but ended up a light auburn color after the first day (its not a preety light auburn either )So tell me is there something i can use to rid my hair other than washing it 20 more times to get the rest of the color out so i can recolor to something close to my shade ? Stuff is supposed to last 28 washings. i look like crap with dark hair so i hate to do it but i don't know what else to do at this piont other than to let it grow and start over. I'll have to check into that redken eq never tried it before .I won't go back into snot faced sallys again (i'm stubborn ) because of the treatment they give there customers and were bitches to us last time we were there (remember i told the one to kiss my ass lol oh she was a hateful one !)

chicklet, i do think it is an addiction....i think we are trying to get a perfect look.....i too didn't know what would look good on me and started the EXPERIMENTING!! i now only use shades eq and well bleach...hee hee....just once though....this haircut freaked me out.......if this will help...tell yourself that you are going to get your hair in the best condition possible and in the mean time look at magazines to see what you would really want....if the magazines don't tempt you to color that is....have you tried redken shades eq? that is a beautiful color line and is gentle to your hair....2% peroxide...can get it off the internet. i can tell you how to put it on, i have the education guide and everything.
LOL i'm with ya ! Boy i suer do know what you mean about cutting off the damage .Just last spring i had to shave my head because my hair was nothing but mush when wet and straw when dry ,then a few months past of living in ballcaps til my hair got to be a couple inches liong and i colored again and again and again ! then after a few months of this my hair managed to get about 4 or so inches long and i screwed it up so badly that i had to cut it again about 2 inches so i was back to about 2 ionches of hair again .So it grew some more and i just recently ruined it again a fwe days ago .Soooooo now i'm back to arond an inch and a half . I have had shoulder length hair most of my life but something about the last year and a half has got my nuts with the hair color . i have agnonized over my damn skin tone so much it is'nt funny and have colored my hair as much as 3 times in a single day drying to fix screw ups only to have a sore irritated head and still jacked up hair .Oh when will the madness end !

oh eve, that last post of yours is a classic!!!!! lol lol lol. yes, we must not tempt one another to do bad things to our hair, chicklet are you with us? both suicides eve and i had to have our hair cut because of the damage. i really do think this is an addiction....i felt the usual excitement when i was washing out my lighter color....it is like a rush...i was paying attention to the feelings that went through me....excitement was for sure going on.
oh man, must be the weather....but you are right chicklet, it is an obsession. i don't even act right anymore....went cold turkey on coloring hair for 4-5 weeks and flipped. healthy hair is the goal. i put a bleach mixture on today, that is how hooked i am.
i'm with ya there sister, I think after i gfet thru this last color disaster i'm gonna quit coloring so much and finsd a color and stick with it and let someone else deal with the roots or just not color the stuff at all .i don't know. i think i look terrible in my natural color lol the only one that truly matches my skin tone according to nature go figure lol. i have such a hard time finding something i look good in and does'nt make me resemble a $2 hooker lol. I had my hair a medium strawberry bloned for years i got so many compliments on but it was so high maintenance i got sick of it .i don't know how i've gotten into this hair color obsession. I'd sure like to have the money i've spent on all this crap but then again maybe its good i don't know how much $ i've wasted it would probably make me sick . What i don't have is hair and i'm sick of looking the way i do .hell if i wouldhave left my hair alone after i shaved it all off a year and a half ago i might have some nice healthy hair i could do something with. Yeah i'd say i've met my breaking piont here. LOL I feel like i'm at an aa meeting .hello i'm michelle and i'm a colorholic .

my hair was damaged due to dying and its started to become really healthy looking and stronger for some reason, I did use redken deep fuel but only once so maybe it was that...I was considering cutting my hair off to a bit below shoulder length (the longest parts are midway down my back at the moment) but Im not going to now because my hair looks and feels thicker and healthy.
yep after all i been through i finally said SCREW IT and had my hair cut off i was tired of
fighting it out, it reminds me of Kitty's hair style from that 70's
show lol but a bit more updated. no amount of nothing was helping my
hair so i would rather start with a clean slate. actually it doesn't look that bad and my hair looks and feels sooo much better
no more bleachin for me (at least for a while)
man it seems like after i had my daughter all my hair has changed it
used to be able to withstand hell and high water but now it breaks and
falls off just by looking at the hair dye isles
oh well
ladies at there breaking point your not alone keep trying maybe you
will have luck... i just have better things to do then to fight with
something thats dead.
