I saw a fair few long-haired women in the park yesterday. That was nice and inspiring.

I guess the warmth of spring is encouraging the ladies to wear their hair loose - which makes long lengths visible.

Lovely.

The high school I work at has many, many long locked 9th and 10th graders, then a drop off as the 11th and 12th seem to find a look they like that is not so long. I think dropping that last vestige of baby fat off their face brings them the realization of working with less hair and more face. Those who hold out, and style their long hair rather than just grow it, realy catch people's eye. I don't mean style as in layers or SHannon Doherty angled cuts, I just mean long and groomed nicely. And trimmed regularly.

Why would they to presume to know her motive, without any knowledge thereof?

Ridiculous.

Quote o I guess that, according to some people, even long-haired ones, there's a rule that when you reach a certain age, you have to cut your hair. A friend of mine recently said, that when she gets old(er), she will cut her hair, because she doesn't think it looks good, an older woman with long hair. I found that strange, considering that at the present time she's nowhere near cutting her hair short.

This myth dies hard. Actually, unfortunately, it has yet to die.

Same here. Most of the women where I live have short hair, or at least above their shoulders. Those who do have long hair are usually younger women, or girls.

I have a colleague though, who's in her fifties, she has recently become a grandmother, and she has got the most gorgeous long hair.
But I heard some other (younger) colleagues saying behind her back that they thought she was just trying to look young with her long hair. It can't have been jealousy that caused these remarks, because the women who were saying this had long hair themselves!

And I recently noticed that most of the (female) friends who I met doing acting classes and cultural stuff have long hair. These girls are all very artistic. My college friends, who are very different from my 'artistic' friends, seem to have shorter hair. Funny that.

i find there are not alot of people in my home town
who have long hair, unless they are young(before teenage years)or they are very unique, not following trends, and dressing as they please.and not conforming to what people say they should wear/listen to/have their hair.they are generally nice people also

When you're out and living your daily life, how many people do you see who have long hair?

For me, it seems to depend on when and where. When I get out of the office for weekday lunch and go to the nearest shopping mall (centre), I notice that a lot of the women have long hair. But if I go to another one in a different neighborhood (or to either on the weekend), I don't see as many long-haired people.

Or, if I go participate in (or go to watch) certain sporting events, the "percentage" of long-haired people varies quite a bit.

I think it's nice to see other people with long hair, because I feel a bit of a kinship with them, like we have something in common (the appreciation of long hair), even though they are strangers.

I was just wondering what you notice, where you are.
