Im glad you at least like the hair. Thats good. Yeah just try those 3 wefts and not too high up. Like I think the top weft shuld be no higher than maybe an inch below your top part. If you go much higher than that, it will show. And also that top one can be longer on the sides so you get good coverage and hair coming down in a natural way on the sides of your face. That gets rid of any "mullet" look.
The hair itself I looovvee. i still have 3 wefts and the same as you was the only amount I wanted to use. I have very thin hair too, and I want ot as natural as possible. I have to call her Monday, i will give you an update.
Yes I know they can do that folding over thing and I kind of didnt want that because I was afraid the folded over ends would be too bulky and stick out. Since I had that hard coating on my wefts anyway, this really wasnt an option and she needed to cut them.
My wefts were single. I know what the double wefts look like but I think with my hair being quite thin and my head so small, for me the best option is keep it simple with 3 hand tied single wefts going around.
I was also told by the lady that did my tracks that these Russian wefts are too thin and the hair is too thin and she thought it would look crappy. I said just do three cornrows and if it looks bad once installed, I can always buy some more hair and have you do a 4th track. So she just did what I said and it looked great but that is mainly because its hard to go wrong with this Russian hair. I also wanted it sleek and long and very flat lying and not a lot of bulk so in my mind it was perfect. Like if you saw it, you would think it was my own hair and not "that is a lot of hair!"Thats the look I was going for. Very natural.
You say you have left over wefts right? 3 of them? Maybe just start over and have those 3 installed but insist on NO cutting at all and if they have to fold over fine. But no more than 3 wefts.
As a side note. I have those couple pieces of Russian hair on the weft ends she cut so that hair has not been exposed to any water or washing of course but if you feel that hair, and the hair I have installed which has been washed a few times, no change at all! I mean you cant feel a differance in the 2. That is quite amazing in my opinion. Try that with silicone coated hair.
The other stylist placed them across my head first to see how big they were, and she folded them over on the ends and sewed the ends together then placed it on the track. I am just upset because this hair is expensive! I just wish I could find a stylist who listens to what I say and want. I have spent over $800 on installs and hair in just a month and a half. Were your russian wefts double or single wefts, I got spooked from they stylist who said she had never seen a weft so thin, and she tried sewing through the weft, wich its the size of a needle. I had to explain to her that I think you have to loop the thread around the weft. She sis great tracks though.
Oh my! I feel so bad all this is happening to you! You just need/deserve a good install. I don’t know what to do here so I will leave it to the stylists who I’m sure can help.
Okay with me, I also had hand tied wefts right. But I only had 3 to start with and that’s all that was ever installed so I didn’t have the problem of too many wefts.
But my sew in lady also cut my wefts. I have the two pieces here left over. She told me don’t throw those away because she can ad them back in later if I want. Dam straight I’m not throwing them away due to the cost of that Russian hair.
However, she needed to cut them to make them fit my head. So far so good and I am having no problems with unraveling or shedding. That does not mean I won’t have those issues later on in which case I will need to decide to try to we-weft or else just get new hair.
Perhaps the difference with my wefts was the fact that they had a heavy duty coating on them to prevent shedding from the get go that I never removed or tried to soften up? I don’t know. That could be what is holding them together now.
See what the stylists have to say but if the wefts are now unraveling. I’m sorry but you may have no choice but to purchase new wefts that are sized EXACTLY to your head and that way, no cutting will need to be done.
Well as some of you know I had a last sew in install with 8 tracks that were way to bulky for my thin hair. I went to a new stylist this week who took them out and put only three very thin tracks which are great. However when she reinstalled the wefts she cut them. After I already told her this was a hand tied weft that had strict instructions not to cut them. She said she sewed the ends really tight and why would I buy such a thin weft ( it is a single drawn but my other girl had no problem installing it) . Well guess what ladies. All the hair on my right side fell apart and fell out of the one track and partially out of the other two tracks leaving them exposed! I am getting so fustrated. I have one girl who put in too many bulky tracks who had the wefts in secure, and one girl who did the tracks the way I wanted and ruined the hair! Any advice I still have a few good wefts left.
