i want long hair and get it braided

The key to growing long hair is moisturization and damage protection.  You can gain precious inches by not using a fine toothed comb or brush but using mostly a wide-toothed comb (brushes and fine-toothed combs tend to take a lot of hair out of your head).  Also, shampooing less frequently, diluting your shampoo, or conditioner washing your hair will leave your hair more moisturized and regular deep conditioning treatments will help preserve hair elasticity and prevent breakage.  By doing these things my hair has grown about three to four inches in about 5 months.  This should work for you as well. 

i have short hair and i realise its going to take a very long time for it to grow but is there anything i can do to make it longer quicker. im open for all advice, im ALL advice long as its positive. and while im growing it what kind of styles can i do to my hair once it gets kind of long but not long enough for what i want
