Good job with the pictures! From what can tell, it looks like you need a higher row. When I install hair on clients with short hair (above their shoulders) I usually find myself needing to install the hair higher. Since the top hairs are so short they tend to move easier and don't have the weight to stay down when you move around or when a breeze hits it. For this reason, your short hairs will show more and it becomes more obvious that you have extensions.
Maybe instead of installing double and tripple wefts you could do 2 double wefts and a higher single weft? The single weft should stay nice and flat so you can install it higher than a double weft without it showing.
Hi,
Do you find this is the biggest mistake newbies make and as a result they get the dreaded Mullet look? That was the problem B&B were having. At a point they needed to go higher but were paranoid about it being visible so they resisted. I have had other people tell me that they don't know how high is too high to go? I like the idea of the single weft. That is very helpful.

That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
I will try and fool with it tonight to see if I can place a single weft above my top row-- but I am not sure thats going to be possible without it showing. My highest weft is just barely not showing...hmm... let me see about this. Thats a good idea about doing the single weft so it will lay flat. If this doesnt work- do you suggest having someone cut it to blend? I am very nervous about that!

Another thing is that it loks like your natural hair has a very slight strwberry tint to it and your extensions are more of a light golden-blonde. Maybe its just my computer screen but that's what I see. You could try adding a few higher streaks of a strawberry blonde or maybe one more higher row of the color you have. That shoud make the short pieces appear to blend in to the long extensions. What do you think?

Ok, I have uploaded some pics into my photobucket- they arent the best- but I think they give a general idea. One note- my hair is wavy so I bought the natural wave which is fine. I do straighten the my own hair on top to help it blend better- but that doesnt work either! I have also tried straightening all the hair- mine and the extensions- and it still doesnt blend... Also, the extensions look very thin- but I have all double wefts and one triple... my hair on top is just VERY thick
I haaaate the idea of razoring my hair underneath. My hair is okay. I don't have issues with my hair like I see some of the girls here do. I personally, just want length because my hair is currently short. Underneath I always have the problem of my short hair showing. I hate it but I just refuse to cut my hair.
I have been doing my own extensions with LG and wefts for a few months now. I always thought it looked ok- til I started coming on here and seeing how great everyone's extensions blend. I just installed some jet set hair last week with supertape and a little LG. (Usually use Bohyme but wanted to try something new-- so far its great). By now, I have the placement down pat. I do 3 double weft rows in the back and a small double wefted row on each side. The front looks fine, but in the back I always have a bit of a shelf- the mullet look! My hair is super thick naturally. I really need help blending and so here's my question:
Should I try and find someone to cut and blend the extensions into my real hair? I am kinda leery about this because I hate the idea of someone ruining this gorgeous new hair. The whole reason I am in this extensions mess in the first place is because of a rather horrid razor cut gone bad. I read thru Sherrie's razor cutting technique for blending on her site- and I have to say- there is no way I am going to attempt this.
OR
Should I try installing some linkies above my top weft to add some hair? The weft I have in is as far up as it can go without showing. But I thought some carefully placed linkies way up high might help since it would mean less of my own hair showing? I have never tried this technique- but I think its do-able with a friend's help. I just hate to go to sally's and get the supplies if you guys think it wont work.
