In the Balkans of the 1950s, my mother knew of a girl who she claimed had nice hair. The girl got ringworm, apparently from a visit to a salon. She was taken to some clinic or some place where her hair was waxed off and she had to have a pommade rubbed on her scalp. There was also a ringworm epidemic in the West among children in WWII. As for the razor bit, if the person using it has cut/burned both an AIDS patient and you with it, why not?
Whoaa! You should try a reputable hair salon next time as there ARE strict rules about hygene and inspectors who check and inforce them. You CANNOT `catch` dandruff from someone. Psoriasis is an extreme form of dandruff. Ringworm is usually spread by animals eg. cats. and as for contracting AIDS from a razor, are you currently living in a bubble?????

A suggestion and it`s not my original idea: whenever you go to your stylist/barber, INSIST on bringing your own shears, towel/cape, clipper, comb, whatever. That way, you`ll avoid scalp infections, perhaps other ones too. I think dandruff is spread easily through hair places` not disinfecting their tools right. But there are far worse infections: ringworm, a gross fungus which makes hair fall out. Nowadays it`s treated with an antibiotic but in the old days, you`d have to get your hair cropped (or even, if the treatment were thorough, waxed clean off. Ouch) and they would rub this ointment or medicine or something on your scalp. And there are others. You wouldn`t want a razor to cut you and get AIDS, for example. And lice! I`ve had those and they`re gross.
What is the infection called where your scalp itches and little sores/"zits" appear on it? Is that psoriasis and is it easily treated?
Do you think your hair stylist does a good job of disinfecting tools? Can clippers/electric shavers be disinfected and are they ever? I believe there should be laws saying that those who don`t very thoroughly disinfect these objects should be in grave danger of losing their licenses!
