I dont know what to do! I have waist length stright hair. Its kind of thick too. I want to keep the length but have it layered starting from my shoulders and getting longer in steps. I keep my hair up in a ponytail a lot too, so what do you all think?

Also, what are the various type of layers?
Know of any websites?

Please help. Why or why woulndt it be good?
