QuoteReplyTopic: Two tone blonde color - need ideas Posted: September 15 2007 at 5:34pm
Alright, I think I'm set on the red/brown. I've had a few friends suggest that I should do that instead of the chocolate brown, they think it would look better because of my skin tone.
I'm still not sure if I'll do the whole underneath or just two big chunks (one on each side, underneath as well), but I'll probably ask my HD what she thinks.
It won't be in for a trim for another 2 weeks, so still taking suggestions if anyone has any.
Kinda feels like I'm talking to myself here, but anyway. I found this picture in another topic, somewhere in the short hair forums. Some sort of a red/brown, I think it looks cute. May try something like that.

I've been a lurker for a while, just signed up today. There's always great advice here, so I figured I'd pick your brains for a bit.
I'm a natural blonde, blue eyes, pale skin. Most people describe my hair color as a beige blonde. Here's an attempt at taking a picture of the color:
While I'm not due to the hairstylist for a few weeks still, I like to
plan things out and think ahead. I've colored the underneath of my hair
before, and am thinking of doing it again next time I get a trim. I
keep my natural blonde on top, and then get a darker color underneath.Guess they call this a two tone look.
Here's a pic of what I did last time: (sorry, don't want to put my face on the net) Chocolate brown on the bottom, and here I actually had a darker than my natural blonde color put in on top
What my cut/color looks like now (it's an inverted bob if you can't tell): (gah, dunno why the whole picture is so yellow)
Alright, onto my question. BF wants me to do the chocolate brown on the underneath again, but I've been thinking, that maybe another color would be fun. Maybe even something a bit funky. I was kinda thinking something redish? Or even if I did a funkier color but don't want to look too punk, since the nape of the neck is kept short, and the color gets cut away in not too long anyway, what if I did only on both sides, on the underneath, a big streak of color? That way it wouldn't be too much crazy color everywhere. Does that make sense?
