Thanks Karen. I'm glad to be back. You guys are going to have to do a lace frontal and a skin weft demo. Here's Ms. Lola lace frontal demo from youtube. She has others on there too. http://youtube.com/watch?v=xrWXupUL0YA&mode=related&search=
I had to go on a week long sabatical from my family otherwise you would have seen video of me being dragged out of my house in handcuffs after going on butt kicking rampage
HA HA. Exactly how I feel about my family at times. Too funny. Glad you are back to talk extensions.

I love it.....Divamouth. HA HA. So funny. Thank you so much for your feedback.
And yes...we are going to keep on doing installs until our eyes cross.
Picture this, Saturday night after we picked up Barbara Lhotan (my friend the hairdresser who does extensions) from the airport we went back to her hotel room. There we were, the three or us, threading wires with silicones beads and practicing threading HH strands onto a mannequin on my tripod. It was 11:00 at night and we were all bone tired but we kept threading until we had several rows in. We also used pre-tipped bonded strands and a fusion tool to add some of those to the mannequin. I still have the mannequin so Billy and I can keep practicing for doing these to Brigid and some of our other models.
Angie (who is already talking about her next install) is recruiting all her friends as potential extension models so hopefully we will be doing lots of new installs over the next few weeks and will try as many different tapes, glues, beads, rings, tools, types and brands of hair as possible. And yes, we will continue to make mistakes and stub our toes but we will keep on trying.
Thanks for all your help and support in our endeavors.

Very nice! I think the fushia and blonde suits her well. The install looks great and she definitely seems to be enjoying her new long hair. I have also never seen an 8 oz. pkg of hair. It looks closer to 4 oz when I see it on her head... but it is sometimes hard to tell. I am also very glad to see the return of the reviews. I hope we will see many more in the future!
Hi....you know what...I was just talking to Sherrie about this and she pointed out that the packaging might have made a difference in how much it weighed.
And you are right, the industry standard is 4 oz in a package of hair, not 8 ounces. So there is a missing piece of the puzzle somewhere. The man at the shop told Billy it was 8 ounces. So there is a disconnect somewhere.
Tomorrow Billy is going to go back to where he bought Angie's hair and buy the same exact amount of hair for Brigid's install. We are going to take all the packaging apart and weigh it ourselves and see what it comes out to be. It might very well be 4 ounces and we were misinformed. We are definitely going to figure this out.
Sorry for all the confusion. As I told Sherrie, we are learning as we go and stumbling along but getting better with each install.

Thank you Karen!! I'm soo glad that we clicked so well in school and I'm sure that i am going to have a lot of fun getting to know everyone at HB and have a live long family with everyone here :]

Depending on the hair, I use 8-11 ounces of straight 22 inch hair.
If I use a hair with volume like the French Refined that I am wearing now, it takes less. I am wearing about 7 ounces and has major volume, more than my average 9 ounces of straight hair.
I cant fit that much in without doubling or tripling the rows.
Are you sure it was 8 ounces? Most hair is prebundled in 4 ounce packages. I was suprised to see an 8 ounce package of hair. But I am not familiar with this brand, so maybe they package it differently than what I am used to seeing.

I have 6 from crown to nape and then 4 on the sides to help blend. I have never used so much hair before. We used practically the whole bag! But my hair feels really full now :]

haha thanks sherrie and malibu. I've always loved putting colors in my hair but after awhile it was so hard to maintain the color so when i heard about extensions i was thrilled. My sister, my best friend, and I are constantly doing each others hair and putting crazy colors in it.

I agree I am glad that HB is going to continue to do the installs and reviews!
Congrats Angie! You look very cute with the long extensions or without! But the long really suits you! Have fun with the colors, I am too old for it and my work would NEVER allow it! hehehe
