For me, the tapes are the best...I bought about $50 worth of tapes a year and a half ago, and still have about half left...I've bought all different types of hair to try as well...
I guess you already have hair, so that wont be a problem...
now that I'm competent at the installs, it takes literally 15 minutes to take down 2 rows of wefts (I use goo-gone cause it is cheap - I bought a bottle of it for about $3 and it isn't even close to half gone, and I've been installing with it for about 6 months - and also because my head is too sensitive for that orange stuff...), shoot it on there, wait a minute, massage it into the weft, and out it comes, then just peel the tape off - it comes right off the hair...then while in the shower, clean the hair...
I usually wait at least 2 days to reinstall to give my head a rest...
Then for reinstall, it usually takes less than an hour...I section first, then put the hair on the tape, tape it in, and done...it really is that easy!
Usually the tape lasts for about 5-6 weeks for me per install...which isn't too bad, the whole thing of install and takedown is a total of an hour, and once you have good hair, the cost is practically nothing...I've spent less for a drawerful of hair and all of the supplies that I'll need for the nest few years than you would spend on ONE fusion install by a hairdresser...

You can show the demo's to a stylist and she should be able to do it. I would try one of Sherrie's demo's on HE101. They're very detailed. You can buy the supplies from her too.
Sourgirl try tapes and i will be posting exactly what this woman does that works on me so that you can see if its a type sew in you want to try before giving up on it alltogether.

Yes, it seems like a big job when you havent tried it before- but its so easy! I have been using supertape and I love it! I reinforced it with a dab of liquid gold on each weft and it's extra secure. Actually, I think its more secure than when I used liquid gold alone. I haven't had any lifting or slipping at all, and it's been three weeks since my last install. Usually by now with liquid gold, I would have to do some repairs. But, different methods work different for everyone. I have been reading your posts and I am sorry you've had so much trouble finding something that works for you. Maybe if you take a break from extensions for a few weeks, you will feel up to the challenge again of finding a good method for you. I can imagine how frustrated you have been! But there HAS to be a method out there that is going to be great for you- it just takes alot of experiementing I guess.

Well I had them taken out and now its just my own hair and me. I spent quite a bit of money these past few months and since I am getting married in a few months figure just wait and maybe go for shrinkies or so cap or something less detectable for the big day. I read krisma's post about how good her tracks are holding up and I am glad and jealous for her. That method would be great for me to maintain price wise but oh well. if anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
