I have heard that putting color on your hair (especially if you are lightening) will give you more body because the bleach swells the cortex of your hair.

I would say yes, only because when I got my lowlights put into my hair I thought it looked thicker. But it could just be me.

I color my naturally thining hair (by age) with 8 N and 20 volume developer.
If I used a #6 N or 7N as lowlights every few months would that help make it look thicker? It`s short hair, and I curl the top with a brush as I dry.
