QuoteReplyTopic: Why Waves???? Posted: September 30 2007 at 12:29am
always had waves when hair was cut...but i started caring about my appearance in like gr7. One of my freinds and my uncles had waves and i admired it so they taught me what they new. Then i decided to search google for wave info since u could use google for anything...but i didnt kno exactly what the hairstyle was called (funny huh). Eventually i tried "360 waves"(or sumfin like that) and i found this site. I read the forums for about a year before I signed up (that was when there was no 360 waves II section)..all i did was the blackwallstreet meth and sum other kinda obsolete meths but they boosted my waves real nice. Its been 5 years now and i still like my waves (and the girls love it too), they r pretty much a part of me now.

I think he was trying to look professional for his job that he was working part time that on the last day a lady left a bloody present for him in the toilet bowl lol.
@ Tsoh, u was sayin that u cut it b/c u had to and it was more professional, so if u had to cut it b4, then whats different to where u can grow it now?

I had waves, but not 360's in eight grade. i typed in waves on google and this site popped up. I sae the cats on here and was like DAAAYYYUUUM!! I been brushin with a purpose evr since! it took me like 8 months to get fully connected, but my right side's always been weak.(dunno why) Got the waves back now, but not as deep as they used to be(still on the brushin grind) I'll post pics at christmas prolly
Waves are a better hairstyle because it projects professionalism, but still gives that style and individuality.
I've wanted waves since i was in like 6th grade. I didnt know how to get em tho. I thout jus putting in some pomade, brushing it in for bout 5 mins and duragging would get em. That didnt work so i gave up and thought i couldnt get waves. Then around march or so i looked it up on the internet and found wavebuilder, that got me started. Then i seen cash post pics on wb and immediately went to HB. That got me my 360's. My motivation is all the Vets. And my homeboy who been killin the wave game since 7th grade. I gotta b betta den him.

I had waves since 8th but they werent 360s, I rocked braids until 11th grade. I didnt get serious with waves until I found this site. In the business world you cant rock braids or your hair out. I know when my hair was long (Lloyd length) I rarely kept it braided. The best style to have (to me) is waves while still maintaining your professionalism @ work etc.

I never cared for waves until my friend kept saying how he was spinning all the time and I decided to try them out of jealously but never thought to try and wave on the sides until I got to this site
i wanted to get waves when i see my cousins with them, they were spinnin. Then as i looked through the sites like 360.net and hb, i came across king cash photos, then bam, i was working for my waves.
Teddy the barber on tha shop on mtv is what made me wanna start wave'n. I been at it for a year and a half and Im still not all the way there but I keep at it.

In about two or three weeks the anniversary of when I got in the game will come up. I decided to get them because I saw a picture of a guy with them on Niketalk and thought they looked cool. So I got a brush, some pink lotion and pomade and started waving. 250 brush strokes per side.

I've always thought that 360 waves looked cool. I had no idea that I could get them until I started searching the internet for information. HB was my main source of 360 wave knowledge. I studied the wavers and their methods on this site for over a year and a half. Then I registered and posted. That was the birth of Wave Connection, aka, Dub-C.
It took me about six months to achieve 360 waves and about another six months to get them tight.
