No I don't know, but I do know that Wagman is not giving this information out either.. (Many of us on BHM have asked..) Whoever they get the Perfect Tress hair from is a deep secret that they are not revealing to the general public.. Can't say that I blame them.. If I were in their shoes, I wouldn't tell either..

I was interested in the beardless weft that Wagmen has but do you think they would not be able to do that with hair you send them and it needs to be their own hair done there already?
The wefter Wagman recommends does not do those beardless wefts. (The wefter is also not an employee of Wagmans, he is an independent contractor) The beardless wefts come from another company. Wagman is merely a distributor of this companies product.

I dunno about Wagman's wefter, but I've had quite a bit of bulk hair wefted at Extensions Plus over the last few months, and I have always been pleased with the results.. Ask for Marlene. (she's the one who handles custom orders)

Definitely! I think I’m getting bulk next go around for certain but I want to make sure I can get someone to sew it onto a weft I am happy with. So I will just order 3 oz bulk hair. I’m going to ask Wagmen first and if not them, EP.

Krimsa, I weighed the weft. It was .68 oz. So that's with the weft. I realize you lose hair when it's wefted but that much?? Also, for the price of that hair and the bloated price for wefting don't you think it's reasonable to get a full oz on the weft?
I dont know what the deal is as im new to wefts. I wonder, with any vendor, if you order hair and want it wefted are they supossed to be giving you an oz of hair prior to it being afixed to the weft or are they adding the weight of the weft to make it an oz in total? That would seem unfair to me but might happen. Its like going to the grocery store and being charged for the plastic packaging in the total weight of food you are paying for. It seems they should put an oz of hair on each weft so it would be slightly over counting the weft seam weight at the top ya know? I dont know if there is a standard or not for vendors to follow?

I dont know what is on these wefts either. I asked and was told "sealant to keep them from shedding". They dont shed one speck but are too hard. Im guessing it is some kind of waterproof polyester coating or something that makes them impervious to water, thus the stiffness.
This whole thing doesn't make sense because you can soak those wefts in Hello Hydration and they will soften. How does that make them waterproof?
Why hasn't there always been a coated or non coated option? Until there was a big thing about those wefts falling apart there wasn't any coated or non-coated option. They were uncoated, end of story. Now they're coated with something that makes them stiff like a wire to prevent shedding?
The coating is not what should be keeping the wefts from shedding. If that's truly what the coating is for then it's a poor weft construction to start with. Now that there is a coating or non-coating option does that mean if you choose non-coating the weft will shed?
I certainly wouldn't want that hair shedding, especially when the price is what it is. When you order that hair wefted you don't end up getting the amount of hair you actually paid for. I weighed a weft and was short .32oz of hair. At over $100/oz that's not acceptable.
Well I have used both the sealant that Extensions Plus uses (they only sell it to local customers) and the sealant that HE101 sells (which is similar to Extensions Plus' sealant).. I like these sealants because they are more effective sealants than some of the other products folks use for sealing wefts (Fray Block etc..) The sealant isn't hard and my wefts are still very flexible afterwards..

Honey, Im broke and cant be spending a lot of money on hair that is just sitting around. Basically i can only save up and buy the hair i will be installing right then. The reason for that is I am trying to be a good girl and STOP using my credit card for hair services. GL nearly knocked me out.
I have been given some good tips on vendors that do free samples. Wagmen is one. Im gong to start ordering free samples of hair and wefts if they have that and see what looks good. Thanks for the help.
Diva, I have read on forums that usually the machine wefts are bulkier and can not be made as small. That can be complete bologna but it’s been said a few times. So because I have a small head and fine hair, I thought it best to stick with the smallest weft I could find to make the tiniest track so that way my natural hair can cover it easily. So can you get a really small, flat laying track with a machine weft or is it always better to go with hand tied? Also, you hear the term "micro weft" thrown around a lot and that would seem to imply it’s a very small weft that is easily concealed. Is that not always the case?
Also as far as the wefts I’m wearing now. They are quite readily concealed and you can not see them. Even if I pin my hair up on the sides, I can easily pull my natural hair kind of up and over the weft line so it’s totally covered. In that respect I’m happy. But if you run your fingers through it, its like wires wrapped around my head. lol. It feels like shellac like Malibu was saying and too stiff.
None of my machine wefted hair is any bulkier than the hand tied hair I have..
I personally do not like micro hand-tied wefts.. For me, I find that hand tied wefts are already too delicate, and micro hand-tied wefts are even more so. Plus many of the micro hand-tied wefts I've seen do not provide enough coverage or volume unless you double or even triple them per row, and if you have to do that then you have to ask why bother getting wefts that thin to begin with..
Dunno what your wefts are sealed with, but the weft sealant I use doesn't leave my wefts stiff or hard..

Oh lord, don’t get me started on ATM runs in casinos! I’m one of those types that will take X amount of money to a gambling establishment and then when that is immediately gone, start hitting the ATM and spend my rent! Lol.

Okay thanks. When I am in need of starting over with new wefts I will contact them and see what they can do. Either them or EP but I have heard really good things about Wagman on a couple different forums now so will start there. I am just not so thrilled with these current wefts I am wearing and would prefer something a little softer.
Hey chica, you can have more than one set of hair. It's time you spread your wings hon. You need a stash before you can become a true hair addict.
My new fave is www.mymaneattractions.com. She's a nice person, great customer service and her hair is gorgeous. Her prices are very reasonable PLUS she let's you put your hair on layaway. Actually it's a desposit and you can make payments and pay the balance when your hair arrives. Yeah, layaway. She has the European hair texture you want and she does custom colors. It's the same quality of more
My second fave is www.perfectlocks.com. Their prices are great, they do custom colors and also have excellent customer service. With Perfect Locks you have to be very specific about what you want. I have not liked every order I've had from them but have been pleased 99% of the time with their product. I would send a pic of what I want and ask to see pics of the hair I ordered before I pay for it IF it's the natural color not a custom color. For their Euro texture match just ask for silky Indian remy.
Neither of these companies is going to break the bank. Start your habit girl. Order some samples from them right away.

Regarding the original topic.. Hand tied wefts will ALWAYS need to be sealed as they are more susceptible to damage. I prefer machine wefts for this reason. The few hand tied wefts I have in my hair stash have been sealed as a precautionary measure..
