Try a wig. lots of people with trich say this helps stop the compulsion to pull at their hair, maybe it will help to stop the cutting comp. as well. Nowadays wigs come in all colours & styles, from bright & spiked to sleek & long or indistinguishable from a "real" head of hair.
But, as your hair obviously looks good ultra-short, does it really matter that you keep cutting it?
Do emphasise your eyes-but no heavy black stuff unless you`re into that look - & a hint of blusher on your ear-lobes, chin & forehead will define your face more.

So u CUT ur hair or pull it out??

If ur a tricchy, then u should get proff help, however even if u cut it, still go out and get proff help, imagine how bad ud looke if u keep cutting it off! u`ll look hideous, like a monster!, hope that helps, im not bieng nasty, but if it gets u to stop then whats the harm!

tRY wearing a bandana or hat a lot so that way u wont remember about the hair so much and wont cut or pull it often.

Also, if its cutting, get rid of ur scissors or something.

Dont emphasize the eyeshadow whatever u do, that`ll make ur hair stand out even more, odd but true.
Afraid i dont really have any make up suggestions,

I have this obsession with cutting my hair -- I believe it may be stress-related or have to do with my (therapist-diagnosed) feelings that I "do not deserve to be loved," which must`ve been a feeling impressed upon me at some young age by my overbearing mom and often-absent, work-driven dad. Nevertheless, I`m the one doing the cutting, not them, and MUST stop. I know I have to, but I get into this "zone" and it`s like I just don`t care. My hair is now maybe a half-inch long all over my head! While I AM one of the fortunate few who can carry off wearing very short hair, I do need some help -- first, in how to stop being so compulsed to cut (I`ve heard about wearing gloves, or putting bandaids on my fingers to dull the sense of touch -- but that`s not really an option at work) and secondly, perhaps someone could suggest some ways to emphasize my makeup so as to take attention away from my Julius Caesar haircut (I haven`t been to a real stylist in well over a year!). I have blue eyes, light ash blonde hair and my skin tone is medium. I`m not overweight, exercise regularly, eat a healthy diet and DO care about my appearance and well-being, so I don`t understand WHY I do this?!

I recently read about an obsessive-compulsive disorder called trichotillomania, where the person pulls and twirls her hair to the point of getting bald patches. My problem is not quite that bad.

Any suggestions?
