To all those having problems with blonding:

When I have a problem I have found a site that I can post to and get very good answers to my questions. It is the Going Blonde Message Board. Check it out at: http://www.network54.com/Forum/127834

Good luck

I know what you`re going through... I tried to do my hair at home once, fix it at home, and eventually paid up the a** to have it all fixed by a professional. My hair turned a reddish color as well, which I hated. It was eventually turned into the color I wanted, but it took a lot of money. It`s worth it though, if the end results make you happy. Good luck!

Hi! A GOOD COLORIST can give you what you want. Go to a specialist in coloring/bleaching if you can afford it. Bring them some pictures of what you want. Maybe a picture of your old color? If you want to do it yourself check out the "going blonde message board". Thats all they talk about there, bleaching blonde. It is such a great and helpful place. Very active and new posts all the time.I have learned so much from the people there.

I used to have blonde hair. As I got older and older, it got darker and darker. About 5 years ago I used to buy a box kit and used an ash blonde and it really looked nice, didn`t fool the professionals but people used to compliment me and my sister (who never gives a compliment, did) and wanted to know how I did it. Well, years went by and I got my hair cut and returned to my very dark blonde almost light brown hair. Deciding to grow it out my stylist added highlights and I liked it alot but the new growth looked bad even on regular appointments so I asked her to just do blonde all over and she always refused saying highlights were the way to go and all over blonde was no better than me doing it myself with a box kit. Whatever, if she says so, okay. Finally, it was getting very expensive so I took it upon myself to do my own hair.....

Oh my gosh!! What a mistake. It didn`t turn out like it used to. It was orange and brassy on top and blueish on the highlighted part.

I went to another stylist to get it corrected and then she makes me a reddish brownish blonde. She actually added red to even the red out on top.

I want to just look beachy blonde. What do I do? Can a stylist actually do all over blonde and can it look good? Please help!!!!! I am feeling really ugly.
The beachy blonde hair is the most complimentary to my skin tone, I am an ER nurse on the night shift and it actually makes me look alive and healthy not so goth like. Please help, any advice is appreciated.
