I was bald in august and have been growin since then. My hair lays downs nice and good but my natural curl just doesn't seem to be enough to get waves out of.

I'f hispanic and growing my hair out to get some curl. I've been using scurl and all, but it just not enough. This maybe out there, but what about a perm to get my hair to curl up, then start brushin like crazy. Or is it not worth it cause of the chemicals.
