I wore GL for several years and paid out the butt for them. I really love the system and god knows I could install them on myself at this point...really not much difference than any other wand method...just it's a different wand and a different bond material. Now would I do it again...NO WAY....not going to spend that kind of money anymore now that I can do them myself. Now my problem with GL was the fact that I wore them too long because I couldn't afford to have them replaced but every 7-8 months....and talking about matting and brakage....not good. No method with bonds should be worn over 2-4 months.
So....if you can afford them...go for it! I spent about 1,700 each visit.....but I wanted lenght and I have thicker/curly hair and had to have 5 bundles @300 bucks each.
Hope this helps!!
Thanks,

Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!
I don't think GL is worth the price. It is "okay" hair at a high price. It is also priced by the length. What length is it for that price? Also, 100 strand is not that much. Is this full strands or half strands? I know a lady here that said she uses 400 strands, but, it is really 200 cut in half.
For a full install, 100 strand for GL is not a lot. If you need 200, that is $1,600. You can get some incredible hair for less than half that.
Only the salon can tell you if the prices are correct or not.. They will also be able to answer your question about the differences in the hair they use..
If you are asking if this price seems high.. Well it is a little on the higher end of the price scale for extensions.. That said what YOU should spend depends on a LOT of things including:
The quality of the hair being used for the install The quality of the work being done by the extensionist What can your budget support
Can you get extensions for less?? The answer is probably yes, but will you be getting good quality hair, and a good quality install?? A high price doesn't guarantee a great install anymore than paying less for an install means that you are not getting a good install.. There are just too many variables..
In the end you want a good quality install with good quality hair for a price you are comfortable paying..
Another example.. I wear a sew-in weave, and I have paid as much as $350 for a GREAT install and as low as $125 for an install that was equally good. Would I pay $350 again?? I probably would.. Fortunately, I have a great stylist now who doesn't charge nearly that much. However, if I had to find another stylist, and the one I really wanted to work with set his/her price at $350 I would be willing to pay that again.. Now some people think $350 is too much to pay, but IMO it is a matter of what I am comfortable paying and getting in return.. not what someone else thinks I should pay..
So it's really a matter of what are YOU comfortable paying and are you getting something great in return.. Because in my opinion NOTHING sucks more than getting a bad install no matter how much you paid for it..

oh and these are great lengths because i checked the GL website and they are listed as certified in GL so this must be the prices,..are these prices right?
100 would be suitable for 1/2 a head of hair, like, if you wanted to just add some volume.
You would want at least 175, for a 3/4 - full head.
You MUST ask the difference between the Premium and Standard Hair! Ask if both are REMY (aka, cuticle aligned) if they are not, or they don't know DO NOT GO THERE WHATSOEVER.
And maybe I am not seeing it but it doesn't mention GL.
could someone tell me what the difference is between standard hair and premium hair? so not all gl is alike? they are offering 100 premium bonds for $800...is 100 bonds enough? I dont know about this system but 100 bonds doesn't seem like much and then when it comes to the fact that they charge over $500 for 75 extra bonds?!....okk then..... are these prices within reason ? it just seems sooo pricey...
