Whitney,
You`re a life saver! Thank you ever so much.
I suppose, if I continue to have that, every other month I should eventually get my really healthy hair back?
Again, thank you.
I shouldn`t have a problem, as this stylist always takes into consideration what I like and what, and does a wonderful job - so I`m definitely in good hands. :)
Tell your stylist exactly what you wrote. Just tell her to trim off dry, brittle, and damaged ends and not to re-layer your hair. I also have layers, and I had some damaged ends, so I went to my stylist Friday and told her the same thing you want yours to do and she did it and I hardly lost any length and I had no layers. I would also recommend some deep conditioning to help with dryness.
Hi! I`m a newbie here, and I think it`s a godsend you guys have made this site! *all hail you guys!*
Anyway.. I need some help, and advice.
Last year, my hair was in pretty good condition - I had a semi-perm with highlights on the top (half a head) and only had the regrowth done, and regular trims.
After a while, I wanted more blonde highlights and did the same as above.
Around March this year, I went to a new place - as I was out of the country due to unforseen circumstances, and asked them to add some more blonde highlights. I thought, I`d have the blonde done, and then have the ends whacked off - so it`d be just below my shoulder. However, the girl completely messed the whole appointment and it ended up doing the cut firs and the bleaching after. But I still only have the regrowth done, not the ends.
Now, my ends are really horrible and dry, I wouldn`t say they`re really split to be honest, just dry. I try not to heat dry or style, and wash my hair when it needs to be washed, and never brush my hair when wet, I`ll use a wide teeth comb for that. I do care for my hair pretty well.
I`m trying to grow my hair, and right now my hair is just past my shoulders. I have layer which are growing out as well, and they`re a pain in the butt (I can say butt, right?!)
This Friday coming, I`m going back to my regular stylist, and I don`t really want to have my hair cut short again. Is there any way, they can cut my hair without giving me layers again - and just cut out all the dryness (which seem to be around the layers more than anything, and just slightly on the ends) and blend the layers into the length of my hair?
Or, any advice anyone can give me?! I`d be ever so appreciated!
