I agree with duke - while I think that people should ultimately wear their hair the way that they prefer, short and gelled into spikes is overwhelmingly popular now, and is becoming boring in my opinion.
This isn`t that big of a deal, but I sort of feel that men should just let their hair be and leave most of the primping and crazy hair stuff to we females. Or not. :)

Plus, whatever is wrong with having longer hair in a grad photo. I recently got my university grad photos, and my hair is maybe a bit longer than that. Look like yourself, not how the system wants you in the picture.

No, man, you look great. And like an INDIVIDUAL. The spiky look, on the other hand, is conforming to the look of the masses - and in my humble opinion looks gross and scary. Not to put you down, it`s your hair, just my aesthetic and ideological opinion.
I think you would look good if you cut it. Yeah if you did use some gel or some kind of controlling stuff, it would look pretty hot. Just to control the curls so they dont get out of control.
Hi. I don`t know if I`m too late to weigh in on this.
To continue the "you look like" notion - have some of you ever seen actor Tom Hanks` son Colin? This fella looks a bit like him in my opinion...in that picture, at least.
Personally, I think your hair is pretty cool the way it is in the photo. I know that lots of young women appreciate the short and spiky thing on guys, but it seems like nearly every young white guy wears his hair that way now. If you want to appease your parents with a more agreeable style maybe you could try messing around with some gel to `neatify` it a bit.
Well, I guess you really look like some guy in Georgia.
BTW, I graduated from high school in 1974. It is really funny to look at the senior pictures from back then and laugh at the hairstyles. I think that it won`t matter in a few years how your hair looked in that picture and it will make a wonderful memory no matter what.
I have one friend from ND. Didn`t think there were too many people there.

Thanks for the reply. All I do is after I get out of the shower is brush it so it doesn`t get tangled, then shake it out. Also, I live in ND and haven`t been to Georgia in my life ;-). If I get it cut, I`ll post an update.
Really the only reason I`m cutting it is because my parents say they don`t want to pay for my pictures with my rediculous hair =D.

Your hair looks like it is naturally curly. Do you brush or comb it down to make it look straighter? If you do, I would leave it long and really encourage it to curl rather than brushing it straight. My daughter`s boyfriend is your age and has beautiiful curly hair. He just got it all cut off into a short, spikey, gelled `do. I think the shaggy curls were much cuter. BUT, my daughter and her friends wanted him to have short hair so you might consider that as well. Apparently girls are liking the shorter looks on guys right now.
I just showed her your picture and she says go with the short, messy, gelled look. BTW, she also says you look familiar. Do you or have you ever lived in rural northeast Georgia?
