Tinkerblonde! Go directly to the Going Blonde message board. You will get all the help you need there. I will try and answer some of your questions here. I think the high lift blonde is more damaging but I may be wrong. Its a fine line. A high lift blonde uses 40 volume peroxide and deposits less tint.Bleach will lift your hair more than the high lift tint but is left on for a shorter period of time. When the hair is orange it means it has not been lifted(bleached) enough or the wrong base color was used in the tint. If it is only slightly brassy a blue or violet based tint will cancel that out. Yes, your colorist can and should fix it. Bring in a picture of what color you want. A purple shampoo can help cancel out slight brass too.
I have used 40% peroxide on my head before with a very light blonde color and got it up pretty light.(I`m naturally dark brown). What is worse for your hair, 40 or double process bleach?
What is the best way to get orange out of color put on roots to blend in with highlights? I don`t really want to go all the way, whole head, double processed bleach blonde.
Can a colorist highlights roots he previously colored a dark blonde that turned gold rather than dark blond? I hate my hair,I`m ready to shave it all off!!!!!!
