I`m also a white guy with wavy hair, and I tried the Rusk Anti-Curl treatment on my hair back in March (not sure if my stylist used the #2 or #3 formula). She said my wavy hair would be straighter but not totally straight. Wrong! Other than one large wave laying somewhat flatter, there was no noticeable change to the waviness of my hair. In fact, my hair became more wiry and very dry which made it fuller than it already was - not the look I was going for. I would not recommend having the Rusk Anti-Curl treatment done. I read somewhere that it makes curly hair less curly (looser curls), but people with wiry or wavy hair haven`t had much luck with it. Sorry I don`t have better news for you.
I`m a guy, I`m white and I have wavy hair. It starts getting wavy at about an inch of lenght and up. I have never used a blowdryer or try to straighten it with any other chemicals. Last summer I bleached blond and it went supper straight, I don`t know how. Maybe it broke the structure of my hair. I want that same effect but I don`t want to go blonde. Now I have short hair. I have read around this board that Rusk Anti Curl is the best way to go. I`m planning on doing it at home and using the #3. Will this make my hair straight? and will it stay straight? and I can do it every 12 weeks right? thanks, and also if someone can post a link where I can get the stuff it would be simply great.
