a trim has never given me problems.  Actually I prefer trims over low cuts.  The only reason I get low cuts is to help with my connection better.  But everyone's different.

in my opinion and atleast for me...for a min i kept wondering why my wave progress mostly looked better on top than the sides and back then one day i realized that i gotta a trim once that involved takin off on all around the sides, shortenin' and unevening my my true hair length on top..therefore screwin up progress. next cut is gona be a straight up specific guard..no more trims ever!
