What a waste.  I'm all for change, as long as it's a positive one.  This isn't.

But, let's be fair and give her some time to grow into the new style.

I don't know if McDreamy does, but I do. Lighter, cuter, has some movement and bounce, avoids the deadly center part, doesn't overwhelm her face, doesn't look faintly Elvira-ish. If I can't have curls, I'll take cute and short instead.

To me, this is most disappointing. And to think I just voted her "best curls" on the annual Super-Hair.net survey. Heck, I even nominated her. Wish I could take that back.

She and McDreamy can't possibly think this cut looks better, can they?

I think she looks great; it's a nice change.  Off to look for other pictures.

Thanks for posting rds111; nice post for a first effort.

A lot of female entertainers are going for cuts which make them look like ordinary people. I'm sure that's not what they are seeking, but that's what I'm seeing. Sleepy Bob

It looks good (I think the side part is an improvement), long and straight looked good also but to me, this is sexier.

It is possible that she doesn't want to be knows as the actress with the long curly hair.  How often have we known women who have curly hair that iron it straight?  Women with straight hair that use curling irons?  Maybe she wanted that style.  It looks nice, though not in its "full glory" of long and curly.

Is it just me, or is she looking old?

Wow, that's a bummer. Partially it's that I'm bummed whenever any woman strips away such thick, gorgeous, bouncy curls in favor of a straight-down style, especially when they're part of her signature look. But beyond that, why choose this style? Doesn't seem like a particularly interesting length, color, or style, and I agree in suspecting it'll require a lot of work to stay that way.

I bet that hair would turn into a bush if it got wet.  To me it looks too thick to be that short... unless she's going to flat iron it every day, longer is better.
