WV...glad I could help in SOME way!!! haha. Yeah, I mainly concentrate on the hair around my face. I start at about a little lower than chin-level and diagonnally cut down from there. I usually don't cut the length in the back at all unless it's waaaay too long (like 22" on something). If you just eyeball it, it's pretty easy and it doesn't have to be perfect!
Frenchie has a point about good hair and clumping as well. That could be a factor as well. I don't wear very expensive hair, but have noticed it doesn't clump since I razor comb.
If you only cut the sides, what keeps the back from clumping. Sorry for aggravating you so much lol

OK, I hope this shows up!!! This is kind of what it looks like and I got several off of Ebay --- really cheap. I use them to layer my hair. I just take a chunk of hair starting at about chin level at the front and razor comb the hair diagonally. Works like a charm --- and looks very natural.
Wow, you are really helpful. Do you just do the extensions on the part that would be around your face? also do you do your own hair also?

Yeah, it's probably the scissors! I think it has something to do with the hair on the weft and how it falls differently than how the hair on your scalp falls (make sense?). I use a razor comb...going to go try and find a pic of one and I'll come back and explain more!! Be right back....

I think I know what you're talking about WV! I hate that clumping. Although, what I noticed with my clip-ins is that it did this ONLY when I cut them with scissors. It did not do that when I used a razor. Also, I noticed my Wawa synthetic did this more than human hair, but it also was cut with scissors!! Not sure if this helps at all? You may also want to try adding another layer of clip-ins a little higher or lower.
Yea, I cut them with scissors. I wonder what the difference is? I will try it. When you say razor, what kind of a razor and how did you do it? thanks for your help.

How do I get my clip in extensions to flow with the rest of my hair. It seems like they separate into little sections of hair instead of just flowing. Does that make sense? Almost like I am trying to make then wave/sections etc?? I want it to look like I just brushed it smooth all over. Other than that I love them
