Yup. Haven`t bought it once since they started those, and I`m not gonna.

I also agree about the Herbal Essence shampoos. The commercials are offensive!! I turn the channel every time one comes on. Rather than selling me on their products they are making sure that I never, ever buy any of them!

I agree with Lyris; I`ve tried Herbal Essences, and altho its smells nice & flowery, and I didn`t hate it..... I didn`t enjoy it THAT much!!!! Maybe the line between hair care & pornography is thinner that I thought!

I have to agree.....the ridiculous things people do to sell liquified detergents! I`ll be happiest when those senseless Herbal Essenses ads disappear into oblivion completely. I mean, hey, shampooing can be fun--maybe even spiritual if you`re into your hair--but come on!

OK first a few months ago when that new Clairol line came out (I think its called 5x) I posted somewhere about how dumb their commercial was. They had a commercial kind of like Aqua Fresh with different color lines supposedly representing all the good stuff in their formula. I forget what else they were claiming but at the time it was dumb.
Ok now to the present. This could have been any shampoo but it happened to be a Pantene commercial. Their new product is their "creamiest" formula ever. They make it sound like just because their shampoo is creamy that it fixes or stops split ends. I got to wonder if they were going for having the creamiest shampoo or the cheesiest commercial. What`s next? Wash your hair with Kraft Mac n Cheese? Does this mean that we can wash our hair with cream? Maybe whipped cream. How bout butter? Yeah how bout some "I can`t believe its not butter" shampoo? Oh and get this. As I am typing this I just got an email with the title "Great Pantene hair news from Pantene & Kelly Ripa!" Talk about weird timing.
Another new one, Pert plus. You know folks if you are going to use pert plus you might as well just do the conditioner only washing. When are they gonna stop trying to fool people into thinking that a 2 in 1 will work? You can`t have 2 products meant to do 2 seperate things in the same mixture. Why? Because they cancel each other out.
How are you supposed to condition your hair if you are shampooing it off at the same time? How are you supposed to wash stuff off your hair if you are adding more stuff at the same time?
You might as well just wash with water and nothing else.
Oh and I see Prell is trying to make a comeback. When I was in school my instructors said that Prell was the shampoo that built up the most on hair. They had to really scrub that stuff out of the hair before they did a perm or color.
You know I understand that these companies want to make new products but could they please at least acknowledge the fact that their old line wasn`t as good as they claimed? That is if their new lines are as good as they claim.
