I don't have any experience with this personally, (also not a pro), but I'd stop using the product that makes it blue...that's a shampoo, right? You are using a product meant to counter the yellow (that gray hair sometimes is). If its not yellow anymore, maybe switch to a regular shampoo until it goes yellow again, then switch back to a blue or violet shampoo as needed? I used to use a color changing shampoo and it recommended only to be used once every other wash so it didn't build up so much.

Not sure where to post this question, but here goes. I am completely gray and lately my hair has been grasping the blue from Shimmer Light, Pantene, Fancifull. The silver is not as brillant or shiny as it once was and my stylist cannot find anything to correct this. When I get a relaxer and have it curled it will take on a yellowish tone. Please we need help. I am willing to do whatever it takes to get it silverish, white. I am getting a short cut this weekend. Thanks. Oh, I also tried Bantu.
