Getting shorter layers chin length will give the top section of your hair more volume and fullness, I also think you would look great with a fringe(bangs) more side bangs though.
As for shine treat the hair within with a good source of vitamin E. You can give hair a great shine whilst drying and using a paddle brush in downward strokes.

I recently grew my hair out to a length that I like. Here is what my hair looks like now
I want some more fullness at the top and would like it to look more like this
I think I need shorter layers and some more bangs. I also would like to make it shinier. I am afraid it will look to thin at the bottom if I ask for shorter layers. What do you think? How could I get this style?
