I just had hairlocs put in 3 1/2 weeks ago (I live in Oregon) and I paid $1700. I got my hair highlighted prior to extensions which was covered in the $1700.  I'm very pleased with the hair quality so far, I have naturally curly hair and the extensions match my hair almost perfectly:)

it really all depends on the area...in NY extensions can range anywhere from $200 to as much as $3500 and up...if you're concerned about price then research other salons in your area and see what they charge and whether the price includes the hair...

I've been reading the posts here and linking to pics and getting info from different websites.  I went for a consultation with a hairlocs artist and was quoted a price, $2000 for a full head of extensions.  Is this a good price?  I'm quite confident in the artist's ability and my final results.  I'm just concerned about the price since I've never done this before.  If this is a reasonable price, I'm willing to pay it, I just want to make sure.  I know this is very labor intensive, and I've been told that it is high-quality hair, which I've found is very expensive.  TIA for your time and opinions.
