You could cut the extensions with texturizing shears or do a point cutting technique on it. It would help it be 'non clumpy' and yet not cause the split ends.
Not a lot of people ask that question; it's a good one! Razoring (I believe) does shorten the life of extensions. You are basically causing split ends on the hair by doing so. That's why unless your hair is thick, healthy and straight, it's not a good idea to razor your own natural hair. However, it's the only way to get extensions to fall naturally and not fall in clumps. Of course, by 'shorten,' it could still lasts several months depending on the quality of hair & now that I think of it, synthetic hair would not likely be affected the same way natural hair is. hmmmm......

i asked about what i can do to blend in the hair extensions with my natural hair.and i was told here to razor it.that makes sense.i never thought of that.but i have another question will that shorten the lenght of the extesions.they wee supposed to be 18 inches.but in actuality they are more like 16 and a half.they are thermofibre.cannot find 20 inch ones.so i am stuck.thanx a bunch
