Hello Stinka

Here is a web site that compares a number of flat irons/straighteners. You can order directly from the site too. The prices range from $82 to $228 (Canadian).

CHI makes a terrific ceramic flat iron that I have used and like very much. They are usually sold only in salons but I did find one web site that sells it ($209.70 CA)

Here is a site that sells both CHI and HAI flat irons. HAI are very good irons too (made by the same manufacturer as CHI):

The same company has introduced a new iron - the UNIL ($227 CA). Although I haven`t used it, it certainly sounds very good:

The CHI and HAI irons I have used left the hair straight and shiny. I have been told that even though we are in a high humidity climate, after straightening, the hair did not frizz and didn`t leave it brittle. A terrific product that delivers.

Hope this helps. ;)

I`m investing to purchase a ceramic flat iron, seeing as the crappy Conair metal steam iron has just about destroyed my hair.

I don`t know much about Ceramic flat irons, but I do know what I want:

- fast heat up
-good warranty
-shiny result
-reasonable price
-leaves hair soft instead of coarse

I`ve read about those CHI irons or whatever.
Where are they avaliable? What are they like? Price (Canadian/US dollars)

I would appreciate a list or reccomendations of ceramic flat irons that could easily be avaliable to me in Canada.
