Thanks a lot fakeizme!
I showed the stylist the picture yesterday... and she said that she would do her best. I probably will have to go back and get it re-done after a couple weeks though, to get it the right shades!

Civic: definitely bring the pic! That helps so much.
You are right; the layers of colour you have on your hair will take some doing to remove. Be prepared to go back for at least two visits (many colourists won't do all of the removing and lightening in one visit). It should be easier for them to lift out the permanent dye.
just don't let them tell you it can't be done! It CAN! Those who say otherwise are likely too scared to do it for fear of damage. understandable. Also, be prepared to get into deep conditioning treatments regularly at home. This will help you keep the new colour and keep your hair from breaking!
Love clip-ins and tape!

Well I have used drugstore brand permanent dye for years on my hair. I have gone from blonde, to red, to brown, to black.
I know that my hair accepts bleach, but it does take a little while for it to lift where the black dye is still in my hair. I made an appointment with a hairdresser for next Wednesday, so I hope it turns out. I don't want it to turn out different. I want it to look just like the picture, that's the whole reason you would choose a picture, right?

Civic: that's a beautiful colour (Beyonce) --- your current colour is pretty nice too!
Yeah, I agree with Karen, is it permanent or semi that you have applied on your hair? You will have to remove that colour with a remover (eg. ColorFix), at least on the top. Depending on what level that leaves your hair, you may just be able to put some chunky highlights in, since Beyonce appears to have a pretty dark level contrasted with the highlights.
It will look great on you! If you get someone to do it, make sure they tell you HOW they plan to do it.
